Purified Water at Alto
At Alto, every basin service uses softened and filtered water.
Clients often notice the difference at the basin and during finishing. Hair can feel cleaner at the scalp, softer through the lengths and easier to style.
For some hair types, especially wavy, curly or colour-treated hair, the result can feel smoother with less frizz compared with washing in hard water at home. A cleaner rinse may also support a smoother blow-dry finish.
Softened and filtered water at Alto
Alto has a dedicated water system combining a Monarch water softener with three-stage Osmio filtration.
The softener helps reduce the hardness minerals that contribute to limescale. The filtration system supports cleaner rinse water during shampooing, colour rinsing and treatments.
Together, the system creates softer, cleaner-feeling water for the parts of the service where water matters most.
Colour, blonding and tone
Colour work depends on control.
During colour, highlights and balayage services, the rinse stage matters. Softened and filtered water helps reduce the build-up effect of hard water during the basin process and supports a cleaner finish.
This supports our hair colour services, including glossing, toning and maintenance colour, as well as blonde specialist services such as highlights and balayage.
It works alongside careful consultation, precise colour placement and appropriate aftercare.
Treatments and hair feel
Treatments at Alto are selected to support softness, strength and manageability, especially for colour-treated or sensitised hair.
Using softened and filtered water during the treatment process helps the hair rinse cleanly and finish with a softer, more refined feel.
It is part of Alto’s hair-health-first approach, alongside Nashi care, careful product choice and considered service planning.
Part of the Alto process
Purified water is not an add-on.
It is built into the salon. Every basin service benefits from the same softened and filtered water setup, whether the appointment is for colour, blonding, treatments or finishing.
It reflects the way Alto works: calm, precise and focused on the long-term condition of the hair.
